"Healthy Ageing in Singapore: Collaboration strategies for the Future" Breakfast Talk

29 November 2023 (Wednesday), 8:30 am - Asia is preparing for a major demographic change, with the elderly population predicted to surpass 1.6 billion by mid-century. Amidst this, Singapore government has launched a proactive approach called Healthy SG to address the resulting societal and health impacts.

To contribute to these efforts, EuroCham Singapore and Menarini Asia Pacific are coordinating a 'Healthy Ageing in Asia' roundtable discussion to foster dialogue and devise solutions for this demographic shift with a focus on four key areas:

• Preventive Care
• Addressing access to medical services and care gaps
• Supportive Care closer to home
• Patient Centricity and shared decision making

This event will convene a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the pharmaceutical, insurance, and medical device sectors, as well as government and non-government organisations. Discussions will centre on bridging gaps and meeting unmet needs for holistic care of elderly, the importance of digital innovations for healthy ageing, and what more can be done to support the expansion of GPs role in delivering Healthy SG and harnessing public-private partnerships' potential.

Prominent industry leaders, including Menarini Asia Pacific CEO, Maurizio Luongo will offer their expertise and insights, including case studies and examples of successful commercial partnerships and collaborations that are successfully addressing the health concerns of an ageing population and the health professionals treating them.

This event aims to not only stimulate discussion but also spur actionable solutions to promote healthy ageing in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

Based on survey results and research, the Whitebook offers recommendations for businesses and governments to drive digital economic transformation. Additionally, it features Company Profile Articles showcasing member companies' digitalization practices, especially in the Singapore context.
