Director, Head of Singapore at Haring Timber Technology

Laurent Corpataux is the Head of Singapore-based Haring Timber Technology, part of the Haring Group, an award-winning and leading company in the field of mass timber engineering & construction with 144 years of experience.
He is also an external consultant/advisor to various government agencies for nature-based solutions sector in Southeast Asia, including the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia and the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO); and published peer-reviewed articles in the field of built environment sector at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Laurent is also one of the Co-Chais of the SwissCham Climate Tech Sub-Committee in Singapore.
He holds a MBA, with Dual Specialization in Finance and Strategy, from NUS Business School and a BSc Engineering honors degree from the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. Furthermore, he holds a professional degree in federal carpentry from Switzerland. In 2015, Laurent moved from Switzerland to Indonesia and in 2017, he relocated to Singapore.

Catherine Loke is a Partner in Lander Loke Architects and Founding President of The Circle for Human Sustainability. She is also a Member of the Board of Architects Singapore and teaches Architectural Practice at the National University of Singapore.
Catherine has a deep interest in the economics of sustainability and what motivates human behaviour, and is regularly invited to speak on subjects ranging from architectural practice and building contracts to sustainability and economics.
In recognition of her contribution to the industry, she was awarded the Women of the Built Environment Award at the RICS Awards 2020 Southeast Asia.

Joan Plouviet is Senior VP Investment and Asset Management at Pontiac Land Group, a private real estate development group based in Singapore. Pontiac Land has a distinctive collection of assets in Singapore, Australia, Maldives and the United States.
At Pontiac Land, Joan has led the investment and development of projects valued at over $1bn including Fari Islands Maldives, an archipelago destination with three world-class resorts, as well as Capella Sydney, an adaptive re-use of two exceptional heritage buildings located in central Sydney CBD.
Prior to joining Pontiac, Joan was VP Business Development for Patina Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel management group owned by Pontiac Land Group. His earlier experiences include business development with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, valuation and feasibility with HVS, and operations management with Sofitel in Shanghai as part of a JV between Accor Group and Jin Jiang International.
Joan has a MBA from INSEAD and a BSc. (Hons) from Lausanne Hotel School, he speaks business-level Mandarin and is passionate about outdoor sports.
