Ms Ong Jie Hui is a Manager with the Foreign Workforce Policy department of the Singapore Ministry of Manpower. This department is responsible for the formulation and calibration of foreign workforce policies, to ensure a foreign workforce that complements the local workforce, so as to achieve good employment and business outcomes for employees and firms. In particular, Jie Hui is holding portfolios on Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS) and Fair Consideration Framework.
Prior to joining MOM, Jie Hui served as a project manager of healthcare pilot programmes with Agency for Integrated Care, Singapore, and was also part of an internship programme with Singapore Ministry of National Development.
Jie Hui graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor in Geography, as well as a Master of Science in Urbanisation and Development from the London School of Economics and
Political Science.
Maximilian advises primarily European companies and startups in investment projects in the Asia/Pacific region with a particular focus on Singapore. His areas of expertise include corporate law, private equity transactions, domestic and cross border M&A, regulatory law and employment law. Maximilian has a particular interest in the healthcare and biotech sectors as well as legal tech.
Ms. Ow Kai Zhen is a Senior Manager with the Manpower Planning and Policy Division in the Ministry of Manpower. The Division formulates and reviews policies to develop a productive and resilient local workforce that is agile and responsive to market demand, and ensures that our foreign workforce complements our local workforce.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Manpower, Kai Zhen has done stints with the Defence Policy Office in the Ministry of Defence and the Higher Education Policy Division in the Ministry of Education.
Kai Zhen graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours), with a major in Political Science and a minor in European Studies.
