Hassan Karim
Head Regional Distribution Management & Partnerships, Asia Pacific at Swiss Re Corporate solutions• A recognised Insurance Leader and strategy expert, Hassan is also a Chartered Insurer, Chartered FinTech Professional, Qualified Risk Professional (QRGP), & Forrester CX-Pro, Ex CEO, CMO & CUO.
• Prior to his most recent role as the Head of Strategy for Zurich APAC, was CEO & President Director of PT. Zurich Asuransi Indonesia TBK (a public, non-listed company) & before that PT. Zurich Insurance Indonesia (ZII). Hassan previously held Senior Exec roles in UK/London, Hong Kong, Indonesia & Global Underwriting operating at Country, Region & Global levels.
• As well as deep knowledge of the P&C sector (across Global Markets, Commercial & Retail) Hassan has deep experience & knowledge of the Life Insurance sector.
• Hassan is an International speaker, having spoken on a variety of topics globally related to Insurance (incl. corporate & retail risk, captives & bancassurance), from innovation, digital ecosystems, digital marketing, data science /analytics & capital adequacy to supply chain risk, GenerationZ/Millennials, & the implications of emerging risks & disruptive technologies.
Reginald Peacock
CEO Chief Executive Officer and Head of Commercial Insurance, Asia at Zurich Insurance Singapore Branch• Reg Peacock has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance sector.
• Reg joined Zurich in 2007 as Regional Head of Customer, Distribution & Marketing and was a key member of the leadership team that established Zurich’s corporate business (now part of Commercial Insurance) in the AsiaPac region.
• From 2014 to 2017 Reg was Head of Zurich’s Commercial business in Japan.
• Prior to his appointment at Zurich, Reg was with Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) for 21 years – initially in London from 1986 and then transferred to JLT Asia in 1991, living and working in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.
• Reg’s experience at JLT covered a broad spectrum of business development, account directorship and leadership roles. He was Managing Director of JLT Thailand immediately prior to
joining Zurich.
Educational background
• Mr. Peacock has a BA Honours degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University, England and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Christopher Tanchou
Head of Business Development Asia at Swiss Life Global Solutions• Christopher Tanchou works as Business Development Director at Swiss Life Singapore. He has 12 years of working experience within Swiss Life in various locations (Zurich, Luxembourg and Singapore) where he has been specializing in the life insurance solutions for HNWI distributed through Private Banks, External Asset Managers and International Brokers.
• With his expertise in the Wealth Structuring area as well as Business Development, he is well suited to managing complex cases and Partner relationships in order to support business submissions.
• Christopher has now been working for seven years in Singapore, focusing on the development of new partnerships and the sale of Variable Universal Life (VUL) and Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI).
